The celebrated Labirinto della Masone, the architectural and cultural masterpiece conceived by Franco Maria Ricci, is preparing to welcome visitors once again. The reopening, which took place on 8 February, marks the start of a season packed with events and initiatives that promise to turn this unique site into a vibrant centre of contemporary culture.
The majestic bamboo maze, the largest of its kind in the world, is once again open to the public, with its intricate paths spread over eight hectares. Visitors can lose themselves between the tall green walls, enjoying an experience that combines the charm of the garden with the intellectual challenge of the labyrinth.
The site is open every day except Tuesday, from 9.30am to 6.00pm, with last admission at 4.30pm. Given the growing popularity of the complex, the management strongly recommends booking for weekend visits to ensure a smooth experience for all.
Among the most interesting new features of the season is "ORA D'ARTE", a series of meetings designed to turn the museum into a contemporary cultural salon. The initiative, which runs from February to April, comprises five appointments dedicated to artists and figures who have left a significant mark on the Italian cultural scene. The meetings, scheduled for 28 February, 7, 14 and 29 March, and 4 April, will feature artists of the calibre of Bertozzi&Casoni, Luigi Ghirri, Giandante X, Luigi Serafini and Paolo Ventura.
The exhibition dedicated to Bertozzi & Casoni, which has met with notable public and critical success, has been extended until 9 March 2025. The works of these masters of contemporary ceramics will therefore continue to dialogue with the museum's spaces, offering visitors the chance to admire their extraordinary sculptures, which combine artisan tradition with artistic innovation.
For Valentine's Day, the Labirinto offers a unique romantic experience. The complex has prepared special packages for couples wishing to celebrate the festival of lovers in an evocative, original setting where art and nature blend in a magical atmosphere.
The reopening also involves the Bistro restaurant, which will resume operations, offering visitors the chance to round off the experience with a quality gastronomic break. The restaurant fits perfectly into the cultural context of the Labirinto, with cooking that mirrors the same attention to detail and quality that characterises the entire complex.
Franco Maria Ricci's permanent collection, the beating heart of the museum, will continue to offer visitors a journey through centuries of art and culture. The works on display tell of the passion of a refined collector who devoted his life to beauty and to sharing it.
With this reopening, the Labirinto della Masone confirms itself not only as a leading tourist attraction but as a true cultural hub capable of offering varied, high-quality experiences. The programme planned for the coming months reflects the wish to keep dialogue with the public alive through initiatives ranging from contemporary art to literature, nature and gastronomy.
For detailed information on prices, programmes and bookings, visitors are invited to consult the official Labirinto website, where they will find all updates on activities and forthcoming events.
